The technical requirements for live web broadcasting are the same from broadcast to broadcast. Cameras are used to capture video that is sent to an Encoder, a software based solution for compressing and re-encoding a video signal for transmission over the internet. One of the most important requirements is a dedicated internet connection. The internet connection should have at least 2X the upload bandwidth of your total combined bitrates for your live stream. The video must then go through a content delivery network that specializes in live streaming and broadcasts your signal to your viewers. Finally, it’s necessary to have a video player; software integrated into your website or application that displays your video signal so viewers can watch the live stream.
The quality of live video streaming & web broadcasting has improved significantly recently and Jumpstart allows your company to leverage this technology at very reasonable rates. We hook our Sony HDV cameras directly into a Macbook and can stream over Livestream, UStream, or a custom server solution that your team provides.
With a 20X zoom lens, our Sony HDV cameras are perfectly suited for live webcasts, allowing us to stay out of the way but still capture the close-ups that are needed for your online audience.
Need DVD copies of your live stream after the event? We also offer DVD duplication services.
